1. What is required for a rental?
   Valid driver’s license and deposit.
   
   
2. If you’re renting one of our boats/waverunners and you are born after Jan. 1, 1984 you will need a boating license. Don’t have one?
   No sweat! You can obtain a temporary license if you go to https://www.boat-ed.com/missourirental/ . Please remember that the temporary license is only available one time to you. If you have already received one temp you can go here https://www.boat-ed.com/ to get your full license that is good for LIFE!
   
   
3. How long before my rental should I arrive for contract and instruction?
   We recommend 30 minutes before to have time for paperwork and safety instructions.
   
   
4. How old do you have to be to rent a jet ski or a boat ?
   You must be 18 to rent a jet ski. You must be 21 to rent a boat. You must also have a valid driver’s license and credit card in your name for deposit.
   
   
5. How much is the deposit?
   $250.00 per piece of equipment. If you rent two jet skis the deposit is $500.00 etc... The brand new waverunners have a $500.00 deposit on a credit card.
   
   
6. How soon will the deposit go back on my card?
   I release the funds as soon as the watercraft is returned with no damage. It is up to your bank on when they release your funds back to you.
   
   
7. What if it is raining when we are supposed to go out on the water?
   If it's actively raining at the time of the rental I don't expect you to go. If it's cloudy or overcast I do need you to go. If the weather is inclement both parties must agree on what is inclement weather the day of the rental.
   
   
8. What is the cancellation policy?
   Any cancellation made more than 7 days before the reservation date will result in a refund of payment minus a $10.00 cancellation fee. Please call 573.348.6677 to cancel.
   
   Any cancellation made less than 7 days before the reservation date will result in full payment of the rental at full price. No call or no show will also be charged full rate.
   
   
9. Can I drive the boat at night?
   No, my insurance does not allow the boats to be driven from 7pm to 7am. They must be parked for safety.
   
   
10. Can I cancel my reservation by email or text?
    No, cancellations can only be made by calling 573.348.6677 in the cancellation policy time frame.
    
    
11. Where are you located?
    1192 Lakeshore Dr. Osage Beach, MO. 65065 or you can type in The Getaway Boat Rentals Osage Beach, MO into your phone.
    
    
12. Is there parking at your location?
    Yes there is ample parking. There is even RV parking!
    
    
13. Are you handicap accessible?
    Yes, there is an access road that goes down to the dock. Then there is one step up onto the dock.
    
    
14. Are pets allowed on rental boats?
    Yes, pets are allowed on the boats for a $25.00 fee. Pets must remain on the floor to protect the seats. Cannot take the boat to shore for the dog to use the restroom.
    
    
15. Can we bring our own tube to tow behind rental boat?
    No, you may not. We have tubes to rent for $40.00 for a day or $25.00 for a half day.
    
    
16. How many people can fit on a waverunner?
    We allow 2 people per waverunner.
    
    
17. Is fuel included in rentals?
    No. You only pay for what you use.
    
    
18. How many waverunners can I rent out with the same group?
    Max of two Waverunners are allowed out with the same group for your safety.
    
    
19. Can I rent out a boat and a waverunner?
    Yes, but when renting a boat only one waverunner is allowed and it cannot be a brand new one.
    
    
20. Can we keep the boat overnight at our vrbo/condo?
    Yes. With approval from The Getaway. You must call in advance with the exact physical address to see if it's a suitable location. 573.348.6677.
    
    
21. Are lifejackets included in the rental?
    Yes, lifejackets and all safety equipment required by law are included at no charge.
